Sabah State Legislative Assembly
The Sabah State Legislative Assembly is the state legislature of the Malaysian state of Sabah. It is a unicameral institution, consisting of a total of 60 lawmakers representing single-member constituencies throughout the state.
The unicameral state legislature, whose members are called state assemblymen, convenes at the Legislative Assembly building in Likas, Kota Kinabalu. It has 60 seats with Barisan Nasional forming the majority after the 2013 state election. After the 2013 election the State Legislative Assembly is sitting in its 12th edition. The Barisan Nasional coalition has control over 48 seats in the house while Pakatan Rakyat has 11 seats and State Reform Party has one.
